Merrie Mimics at the Movies M ERRIE M IMICS HELD ITS 66 TH ANNUAL BALL ON S EPTEMBER 7, 2019 AT THE M ONTGOMERY C OUNTRY C LUB FOR A FABULOUS NIGHT OUT AT THE MOVIES ! Merrie Mimics made its debut in 1953, shortly after World War II. Merrie Mimics is one of the oldest mystic societies in Mont- gomery and the ladies of Merrie Mimics are always privileged to kick off every ball season! This year was no exception! The theme for this year's ball was designed to take you to a Grand Theater with a Hollywood Premier. Legendary movie soundtracks that are as iconic as the movies themselves set the tone for the night. As you entered the Country Club, you were greeted with a red carpet, vibrant red drapery hanging from the gorgeous double staircase. The guests were greeted by the Queens Reception Com- mittee, and close family friends; Jeremy & Lindsey Dickey, Davy & Amy Tyner and Alex & Jessica Sanford. Decorations chairman, Michelle Shaw, out did herself, trans- forming the main ballroom into a Red-Carpet event, complete with life-size Oscar figurines, gorgeous red roses and a lighted movie real designed by Merrie Mimics member and co-decorations chairman, Brittnee Ward and her husband Clark Ward.
