Spring at ACA provides many opportunities for students including Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Track & Field, Tennis and Golf. Each year, several ACA Varsity teams compete in post sea- son play including the 2019 4A State Softball Championship Team. ARTS: Through programs in the arts, ACA helps each student discover, develop and express his or her unique God-given talents. Students can participate in the award-winning ACAMarching Eagle Band and Color Guard as well as jazz and percussion ensembles. Visual art students explore a variety of mediums, with each student’s artwork exhibited in the annual ACA Art Show. Students are also given numerous opportunities to participate in local and state art competitions. The ACA chorus regularly wins high awards and pro- vides students with ensemble experience in vocal production tech- niques and part-singing for mixed voices. The theater program pro- duces several school level productions each year including plays and full musicals. TECHNOLOGY: Our commitment is to provide the best in- struction using technology to reach all of our students. All students in grades K4-5 have access to both classroom-based iPads and Chrome books, while each student in grades 6-12 is issued a Chromebook. ACA provides campus-wide, wireless network access, high-speed Internet access as well as both on and off-campus content filtering for all students. Each student in grades K-12 has access to a personal G-Suite for Education account, which provides a robust set of communication and productivity tools managed by ACA. COMMUNITY SERVICE: As a service-oriented school, ACA encourages personal responsibility, a giving heart, and godly char- acter in students who are equipped to serve and lead in their com- munities. In addition to participating in various fundraisers, students provide community outreach and service to organizations such as the Family Sunshine Center. Hope Inspired Ministries, and the Montgomery Area Non-Traditional Equestrian Center (MANE), as well as visits to senior centers. Elementary students participate each year in growing and harvesting vegetables for the Montgomery Food Bank. Secondary students volunteer at the Tim Tebow Night to Shine event, River Region Basketball Special Olympics as well as the Montgomery Miracle League. ADVANCED PLACEMENT/DUAL ENROLLMENT: Ala- bama Christian Academy is a PreK-12th grade college-preparatory school committed to offering a challenging, Christ-centered educa- tion to students, while keeping in mind their individual needs. Ala- bama Christian Academy offers AP classes in World History, Psy- chology, Calculus, Biology, English Language, English Literature, European History and US History. ARTS: Our Speech & Debate program is ranked in the top 1% in the nation and has won 17 state championships, more than any other public or private school in Alabama. Both Lower and Middle School Choruses have earned statewide accolades and have been invited to participate in festivals across the southeast. Our Upper School Chorus has earned superior ratings at district and state com- petitions, including winning first place the past four consecutive years in a national choral competition. The black-box theater on the Vaughn Road campus is where students in grades 6-12 may participate in full-length productions during the year. Every single child in grades K-5 participates in a performance each year. Student actors compete and are honored annually in the State Theater Fes- tival. ATHLETICS: Athletic teams at The Montgomery Academy have earned 73 state championships (as of fall 2019), more than any other public or private school in the River Region!
