boat charter offers adventure and serenity and is a great way to feed the soul and the body. Or, just throw a line off the end of the pier — all public fishing piers are open — and see what bites. • Dine in or take out — I promise, after a day in the sun whether on the water, the trails or the golf course, your going to be exhausted in the best possible way! Some of us have done more of our own cooking over the past two months than we’ve done our entire lifetime. Or, is that just me? Regardless, the good news is that restaurants continue to provide easy, delicious meal options. All Alabama restau- rants, bars, breweries and similar establishments (such as ice cream shops and coffee shops) can open to dine-in cus- tomers. These businesses must limit any party size to no more than 8 people, ensure social distancing between tables, require employees to wear face masks, and do away with self-service options like drink stations, buffets and salad bars. If you are visiting the beaches in Florida, restaurants can offer outdoor seating with tables spaced 6 feet apart, and may operate at a maximum capacity of 50% indoors. But, if you are not comfortable dining in yet, restaurants continue to offer curbside and some will even deliver right to your door! The lake and the gulf are so close and have so much to offer to keep us physically active and soaking up our vitamin-D. So, as we say farewell to the end of a most unusual school year — and hopefully to an ugly disrupter — let’s grab our family, our sun- screen and our water toys and live on the bright side for at least a weekend if not a week! n Find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter JUNE/JULY 2020 27 .....................................................................................................................................................................
