M ONTGOMERY R EGIONAL A IRPORT W ELCOMES N EW E XECUTIVE D IRECTOR M ARSHALL J. T AGGART , J R . The Montgomery Airport Authority is pleased to announce the selection of Marshall J. Taggart, Jr., C.M. as the new Executive Di- rector of the Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM). He assumed the top airport leadership role effective May 15, 2019. Mr. Taggart comes to the River Region as an accomplished air- port industry leader, with nearly two decades of experience in the aviation industry. Prior to joining the MGM team, he served as the Deputy Airport Director of DeKalb Peachtree Airport (PDK), the second busiest airport in the state of Georgia. At PDK, his leadership responsibilities included: operations, security, facilities, maintenance, and the successful administration of more than $42 million in construction and airfield projects including, Engineered Material Arresting System (EMAS), the first of its kind imple- mented in the state. Taggart’s career success also includes, private industry experience as the National Director for Airport Business Development for MediaShift, Inc. He also previously managed Tallahassee Regional (now International) Airport as its Deputy Aviation Director where he led efforts to bring in new air service, as well as managed all commercial development. His aviation background also includes progressive roles in areas of business development, marketing, A NGIE D ODSON , N EW E XECUTIVE D IRECTOR AT THE M ONTGOMERY M USEUM OF F INE A RTS The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts has recently appointed a highly skilled newDirector, Angie Dodson. She has been on the job for six months and is fulfilling the hopes the organization had for her. Leslie Sanders, president of the museum’s Board of Trustees said, “We are excited and looking forward to having Angie Dodson lead our museum. We truly be- lieve she will lead this organization to a whole new level of excellence and service to our community.” Dodson comes from nineteen years in Washington, DC at the Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens. Dodson manages and oversees all activities related to collections, exhibitions, programs, education, special events, and fundraising at the Museum. “The MMFA was my first museum home. It’s there that I learned the power of collaborative work, intel- lectual play, and creativity–experiences that have served me well throughout my career. I am delighted to return to Montgomery and to serve at the Museum,” Dodson said.
