Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill With a strong work ethic from his par- ents and no training in the restaurant business, owner Ken Desai didn’t let that stop him from opening Salsarita’s in 2007. “Sometimes things just fall in your lap and the opportunity to bring Sal- sarita’s to the River Region was some- thing I couldn’t pass up.” Unlike the ubiquitous Mexican fast- food drive thrus, Salsarita’s offers cus- tomers healthier, freshly prepared Mexican fare. The menu is highlighted by burritos, but it also serves up a variety of items like tacos, salads and quesadillas. Guests can choose from signature menu items or build their own tacos, nachos, burri- tos, and bowls. "Whatever a customer orders, they can rest assured they are dining on only the freshest of ingredi- ents,” says Desai. Salsarita’s guacamole and salsas are all made fresh daily, and their meats are grilled and cut in-house. It’s these kinds of touches that really make a difference between an okay Mexican restaurant and a great Mexican restaurant. The din- ing choices will satisfy both meat eaters and vegetarians alike.
