ALABAMA SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL Designated as the State Theatre of Alabama, ASF boldly serves up lavish and ambitious performances each season with each pro- duction thoughtfully planned and built by highly-skilled profes- sionals. ASF also casts only professional actors to perform on its stages. Productions of this caliber do not come cheaply and are also why support through giving is just as critical as purchasing tickets to the theater. As the state’s largest non-profit arts organi- zation, ASF leads the way for culture and the arts in Alabama. ASF builds community by engaging, entertaining and inspiring people with the transformative theatrical performances and com- pelling educational and outreach initiatives. The SchoolFest pro- gram has continued to grow and impact more than 45,000 students from around the state annually, exposing them to world class theater, art and arts education. This program is only made possible by sponsorship from community leaders and donors. The 2017-2018 season, ASF joined in the statewide celebration of Alabama’s bicentennial.
