We believe our elementary experience sets our children apart and prepares them for middle school and beyond. Our enrichment program offers multiple avenues to ensure our students’ success. Holy Cross currently offers: Spanish, music, visual arts, computer technology (Apple and PC), STEM (Science, Technology, Engi- neering and Math), library, P.E. and theater arts. ENROLLMENT: Pre-K4 through Grade 6. Governed by a Board of Trustees, the school offers classes from Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade and prepares students for entry into college preparatory programs in both private and magnet middle schools. ENGLISHAS A SECOND LANGUAGE: Holy Cross has mul- tiple children participating in our ESL program. We have an ESL teacher on staff who works diligently with all of our ESL students. FACULTY: 16 teachers; 3 extended day staff members; 5 addi- tional staff; local Episcopal priests and other local clergy to perform chapel services on campus. RELIGIOUS TRAINING: We offer daily chapel for all grades in our historic chapel that sits on our campus. We look to integrate spiritual formation into all aspects of the educational experience in a graceful and inclusive way. Children of all religious and ethnic backgrounds are welcomed and valued. HOLY CROSS GRADUATES SUCCESSFULLY ATTEND: Holy Cross students are accepted into area private schools and magnet programs upon graduation. EXTENDED CARE PROGRAM: Available 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAMS: We offer on-campus pi- ano and guitar lessons that can be done during the school day or after school. We also participate in AYSO soccer, Brain Pump, Abrakadoodle, and Dance. ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES: are available at our high school. Honors courses begin in the seventh grade. RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION : Theology courses are taught on all campuses daily. The high school requires four Theology credits, one each year. All campuses attend weekly Mass. Students do not have to be Catholic to attend. TECHNOLOGY: The first school in the Archdiocese of Mobile to implement a 1 to 1 laptop initiative in 2013, the program, used throughout the curriculum, enhances the learning environment and is an invaluable learning tool. Required lease fees are applicable. ATHLETIC PROGRAMS: Football, basketball, baseball, wrestling, soccer, golf, tennis, cross country and track are available for boys.
