In April, 2014, they ran into to each other at a function and really hit it off. From that point on it was the two of them together … .and, as they say, the rest is history. After years of dating Grant was ready to pop the question. He planned out the proposal. He got her friends to arrive at her home with a rose and a note that read “today is going to be a special day.” She went all around town with her girlfriends, a surprise breakfast with family and friends, notes along the way. Manicures and pedicures with friends, shopping at some of her fa- vorite shops and lastly lunch andmimosas withmore friends. Later, Brittany’s brother arrived to take her on her last outing. She arrived at Grace Episcopal where Grant was waiting for her. He asked and she said yes!!! That night they celebrated their engagement with friends and family. Prior to the big day, the entire wedding party spent the weekend at The Lodge at Cocktail Slough. At the ceremony, located at the stables at Russell Crossroads in Alexander City, the weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding and following the lovely event the couple took a ride in a horse-drawn car- riage. The reception took place upstairs in the stables at Russell Crossroads. A fun dessert table awaited guests, complete with cupcakes, cakes and donuts, and the guests danced all night long to Union Road. Guests ended the evening with Alabama and Auburn shakers — sending the newlyweds on their way to happily ever after.
