So when they were introduced, by mutual friends, at church back in 2017 it didn’t take long for the two to bond. Both were leading small groups for their churches youth group and Caleb saw how much Courtney cared for the kids and he said that sealed the deal for him. A few days later, they started dating and only two months into the relationship they were already talking about planning the wed- ding. When the time came for Caleb to pop the question, his first plan of action was to get his grandmother’s 50-year-old diamond engagement ring. Then on Feb. 10, 2018, he reached out to the bride’s parents to ask for their blessing. The next weekend he went to the jeweler to have the diamond set in a wedding band that Courtney had described to him previously. A week later, Caleb would surprise Courtney at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham near a gazebo by proposing. Her family and friends were there to be a part of the sweet event. The happy couple said their “I do’s” at The Chapel at The Waters, also site of the reception. Her father walked her down the aisle and Bradford Brown officiated the special nuptials. After a honeymoon to Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, N.C. the couple now re- sides in Montgomery. n The Vendors: Caterer: Jennie Weller Catering and Events ; Cake Designer: Vickie Kyser ; Wedding Coordinator: Leigh Blackwell ; Florist: Haley Scott of Wetumpka ; Jeweler: Jared ; Gown Designer: Bella’s Bridal, Birmingham ; Videographer: Preston Etheridge ; Photography: Allison Kingry Courtney and Caleb
