E MILY N ICHOLE B IANCHI & Z AKKARY L AKE G ANTT M ARCH 10, 2018 Emily and Zakk were wed on March 10, 2018, at The Waters Chapel in Pike Road and a reception fol- lowed at Oaks Plantation. The couple met in 2008 at a youth church group. As they grew up together Zakk joined the Air Force and Emily attended Auburn Uni- versity to pursue her nursing degree. After many snail mail letters and occasional FaceTime communication Zakk later attended Auburn University after training and deployment, where they have been inseparable ever since. During Thanksgiving break in 2017, the couple gathered with Emily’s family at Callaway Gardens, something they did every Thanksgiving, but Zakk had more in store than just to celebrate a holiday. During a walk through Callaway Garden Zakk had enlisted the help of Emily’s cousin, Shannon, who is a professional photographer, to help capture the moment on film. When they reached the chapel Zakk proposed to Emily and later that night the family toasted to the happy couple. On their wedding day Emily walked down the aisle in the gown her mother wore in her wedding. And, her brother, Anthony, served as the officiant as well as a close family friend. In lieu of wedding favors Emily and Zakk decided to make a donation in their guests’ name to an organization that was close to their hearts.
