I N HER OWN WORDS … “The day Quinton proposed started out as a normal Saturday. We had plans to go hiking with family and friends. Quint had the idea to split into teams and do charades at different checkpoints during the hike. He had made cards with different topics so the hike and game began. I soon became confused. Quinton was the one who made up the game and the cards and yet we were somehow losing. Later I came to find out that Quinton was so nervous and focused on popping the question, his head was not in the game! Finally, there was one card left to act out and it read, “A sassy princess!” As I was acting like a “sassy princess,” I turned my head for a split second. When I turned back Quinton was down on one knee with a ring. My heart raced and my jaw hit the floor. I’m sure I asked multiple times, “Is this for real?” I said “Yes!” and that was the official start to our forever!” Latasha Denise Douglas married Quinton Sims on September 26, 2020 at Rocky Mount in Prattville, Alabama. Pastor Matthew Davis performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Gail Tyus of Prattville and Roger Douglas of Montgomery. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Tasha’s friend Jasmine Brown of Notasulga, Alabama served as Maid of Honor. The grooms brothers, Taylor Sims of Nashville and Dion Sims of Huntsville, served as Quinton’s Best Men.
