Les Mysterieuses 2018 Ball Spreads the Love Les Mysterieuses members and guests had a “lovely” time on Shrove Tuesday at the 106th annual Les Mysterieuses ball on February 13 at The Montgomery Country Club. Montgomery’s oldest mystic society celebrated the culmination of the Mardis Gras season and noted its close proximity to Valentine’s Day by choosing a theme focused on famous couples through the ages. Honoring the theme and paying homage to the work of Cupid, Les Mysterieuses members and their husbands were costumed as lovebirds like Forest Gump and Jenny and “Sat- urday Night Live’s” goofy Spartan cheerleaders. Some even ar- rived as platonic duos like rockers Axl Rose and Slash, and game show hosts Vanna White and Pat Sajack.
