EASTWOOD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL 1701 E. Trinity Blvd., Montgomery, AL 36106 TELEPHONE: 334.272.8195 WEBSITE: www.eastwoodschool.org Eastwood Christian School is a Christ-centered, classically fo- cused learning community that challenges students to achieve their educational potential in an academically rigorous environ- ment for the sake of serving the Kingdom of God to the glory of Jesus Christ. We desire to see each child presented with, understand, and embrace the gospel of grace and mature in Christ. We seek a community where the parents, the church, and the school partner to instill in our students a deep love for God and an enduring pas- sion for serving God as leaders and thinkers who integrate a Biblical worldview into all aspects of life and learning. Further, we seek a community that exalts Christ and is a blessing to the tri-county area’s children and families. FOUNDED: 1996 FOCUS: The founding board of Eastwood Christian was com- mitted to providing a Christ-centered, highly academic, charac- ter-driven atmosphere where students, teachers, and staff would thrive in small classroom settings. They wanted to see students develop a Biblical worldview and cultivate a lifelong love of learn- ing, becoming men and women who would bring God glory. Since that first day of school, Eastwood's facilities and student body have expanded and grown as we now celebrate more than twenty years of providing college-preparatory, Christian, classical education to hundreds of students with 250 ECS graduates as of 2019. These students have matriculated to over thirty-five colleges and univer- sities. ENROLLMENT: Approximately 250 FACULTY: More than thirty-five faculty members lead the stu- dent body. Eastwood seeks teachers who have a passion for Jesus Christ, faithfulness in applying the Fruit of the Spirit, a call to teach and shepherd children’s hearts, and communication skills. All teachers have college degrees, many hold master’s degrees, and some hold doctoral degrees. Faculty members have taught for an average of ten years each and understand the importance of hon- oring a partnership with families in their children’s education in 34 AL/ Metro 360 www.almetro360.com Private School Review O ne of the biggest keys to a child’s future stability and success is his or her education.
