B RIAN W ELCH Brian Welch is currently is founder and serving as managing partner of Healthscan Imaging, Mergence Healthcare and Auto- body RX, LLC. Healthscan and Mergence is a multi-divisional medical company that focuses on medical imaging, cardiac diag- nostics, pharmaceutical research, medical labs and medical consulting. After gradu- ating fromAuburn UniversityMontgomery, Brian worked withMontgomery Eye Physi- cians and oversaw the planning and build- ing of a surgery center, plus the addition of two locations. He then spent six years with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Healthscan became a business idea with his brother Jeff, and in February 2007 Healthscan Imaging was born. Recently, Brian and Jeff purchased Chico’s Paint and Body, added a second lo- cation and have expanded the services be- yond just collision work. His father, Dave Welch, passed away of cancer in 2000. In his honor, Brian, Jeff and their mother started The Dr. Dave Welch Foundation in 2001 to raise money for local projects in- cluding the Montgomery Cancer Center Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and other local families in need.
