age of 15 he began a radio career at his hometown station where he worked until graduation. In July of 1967 he married his high school sweetheart, Sarah Lane, while living in Knoxville, Tennessee. They now have three children and five grand children ranging from twenty-five to eleven years of age. After moving around with various ra- dio jobs, he ended up in Montgomery in 1969 when he came to to work mornings on WHHY-1440 AM. In 1971 he was ap- pointed Program Director and later served as General Manager/Vice President. In 1975WHHY became the first 100,000 FM in the area as Y-102 went on the air. In 1994 he joined Colonial Broadcasting, where he again did mornings and served as General Manager after putting together a new station- MIX 103.3. In 1996 he left radio and formed a full-service advertis- ing/marketing company that does all media planning, buying, creative, as well as digital media for his clients. M ATT S TRINGFELLOW Matthew Stringfellow was born and raised in Alabama and attended Troy Uni- versity. While at Troy, Matthew obtained a Bachelors degree in Business and a Masters in Business Administration. He currently resides in Prattville, Alabama. Matthew en- joys giving back to the community and is a past president of the Prattville Lions Club, past board member of the Autauga County Family Support Center, former Ambasador for the Prattville Chamber of Commerce and current Board member of Augauga County Butterfly Bridge. Matt believes in stepping up and making a difference and that is why he has chosen to participate in Real Men Wear Pink, “By raising money and awareness through Real Men Wear Pink, I'm hope to help save more lives from breast cancer.” M ARSHALL T AGGART Marshall J. Taggart, Jr. C.M. joined the Montgomery Regional Airport as its Exec- utive Airport Director on May 15, 2019. He previously served as deputy airport management professional at the premier executive general aviation airport located in Metro North Atlanta. He also recently served as the National Director of Airport Business Development for Advantage Net- works now MediaShift, Inc. Located in Glendale, California. Additionally, he served as Deputy Aviation Director for Tallahassee Regional (now International) Airport where he co-managed a $10.5 million operating budget and 43 full time employees. He has also served as Director of Airport Conces- sions; Director of Planning and Real Estate; Executive Airport Manager in-Training/In- terim Procurement Manager; and Conces- sions Manager responsible for marketing and Business Development. His career has included positions at airports such as Chicago Midway, Chicago O’Hare, and Hartsfield – Jackson Atlanta International. In his spare time, Marshall loves to travel with his family, follow historically black College and University marching bands, play golf, and collect African American his- tory books, articles, and artifacts. His great- est achievement is his family and the love they share. J AMAL T HOMAS Jamal Thomas was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up living with his grandmother in a single parent home. He moved toMontgomery, Alabama in Au- gust 2002 to attend Alabama State Univer- sity. He graduated in 2007 and earned his MBA from South University in 2009. From 2009-2010, he was employed with Spot- light Magazine. Afterward, he worked for WAPZ 1250 AM. In 2011, he launched Gumptown Magazine. He also provides marketing services to small businesses, non- profits and political candidates. Jamal is a member of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc Leadership Montgomery Class XXXIII and Leadership Autauga County 2019-2020. J AMES W EDDLE Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, James Weddle is the seventh and youngest child of John and Sophia Weddle. Both parents are Army Air Corp/Air Force vet- erans. Though the youngest, James was the first to graduate from college — Arizona State University.
