C ORNELIUS C ALHOUN Cornelius “CC” Calhoun is first of three children born to Thomas and Lottie Cal- houn of Montgomery, Alabama. A product of the Montgomery Public School System, CC graduated from Jefferson Davis High School. He also attended Trenholm State Technical College and Troy State Univer- sity-Montgomery. CC is married to Sharon Renee Calhoun and they have two children, Cornelius Jerrel and Corneisha Jenee. He is a member of First Baptist Church-Greater Washington Park where he serves as a Dea- con. CC is a former employee of Calhoun Enterprises. He served 10 years as a volun- teer Coach with the YMCA and Southern League Baseball. In addition to an out- standing Military career he currently serves in the Alabama National Guard Recruiting and Retention In Services Recruiting Co- ordinator. CC was elected to the Mont- gomery City Council in 2003 and is now serving his third term and is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery Class XXI. In his spare time, he volunteers as a Board Mem- ber for the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Alabama, Southeast YMCA, and the Nellie Burge Community Center. B RANDON D EAN Brandon Dean is an Assistant Director with the Alabama High School Athletic As- sociation (AHSAA). He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the National Interscholastic Athletic Adminis- trators Association (NIAAA). He has been a presenter at the NIAAA National AD Conference and the AHSAA Summer Con- ference. He has also been recognized as a Certifed Master Athletic Administrator. Brandon is an avid supporter of Alabama State University Athletics. And as a former educator, coach, school administrator and school system athletic director, he has men- tored numerous students as well as student athletes. In 2013, he became the first Dis- trict Director of Athletics for Montgomery Public Schools. During his tenure as Dis- trict AD, he increased the exposure and built a strong social media brand for MPS Athletics. He was instrumental in bringing the first high school football games (MPS Kickoff Classic 2016) to the New ASU Sta- dium. Brandon is a 2012 graduate of Lead- ership Montgomery. T RENT E DWARDS Trent Edwards has been married to his wife, Vanessa, for 17 years and they have a son, Dylan (13). Trent has moved a total of 19 times in his 30 years in the Air Force — 12 times with Vanessa. Trent is the Senior Vice President for Military and Community Development at the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. He is responsible for developing public, private partnerships to enhance economic, business and work- force development opportunities. Brandon is also President and CEO of T.H. Edwards Consulting, LLC, a firm which helps com- panies understand the federal budget cycle, and Department of Defense (DoD) mission and funding priorities in order to competi- tively compete for contract awards. He has successfully consulted for both start-up and established companies and private equity firms deciding where, when and how to in- vest in DoD operations. He is an established motivational speaker on topics of leader- ship, human capital development, uncon- scious bias and organizational culture. He is a Volunteer BoardMember for Navy Fed- eral Credit Union and a member of the Tiger Woods Foundation and serves on their Diversity Advisory Board.
