Real Men Wear Pink- Bryan Johnston, MD
Montgomery Radiology Associates

Born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Bryan grew up in a large family with two brothers and two sisters. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University and the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.

Bryan completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham and fellowship in Neuroradiology at UAB. In 2012, he moved to Montgomery to work for Montgomery Radiology Associates and in 2015 became a partner. He is an active member of the American College of Radiology and the Alabama Academy of Radiology (AAR) and has served as treasurer of the AAR for the past year. His practice includes all areas of radiology including mammography, MRI, CT, and PET/CT. “I take great pride in aiding the early diagnosis of cancer with mammography and monitoring cancer treatment on follow up exams. My group covers approximately 20 hospitals in Central Alabama including Baptist Medical Center and Carmichael Imaging Center.”

No stranger to cancer, his mother, Maxine Irby Johnston, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. “She fought courageously before losing her battle in 2004 at the age of 51. Her death had a significant impact on my decision to become a radiologist. I am a proponent of early screening with mammography.”

Bryan has been happily married to Tori McCaig Johnston for nine years and they have two sons.
