ISTORY OF P URSELL F ARMS Initially designed as a place to invite su- perintendents to play golf and learn more about new turf grass technologies pio- neered by Pursell Technologies, the fertilizer company quickly built a national name in FarmLinks. Experts from North America’s greatest courses (like Augusta National, Pebble Beach and such) came to Pursell’s FarmLinks to continue their turf education in the living laboratory. In 2006, Pursell Tech- nologies, Inc. was sold and as the transition began from golf course to destination resort, Pursell Farms was born. Today, Pursell Farms is a gorgeous resort community on a sprawl- ing 3,200 acres with a wedding venue, a brand-new estate-style inn, a boutique spa, fabulous restaurants and a myriad of outdoor activities including world-class golf. T HE I NN AT P URSELL F ARMS Pursell Farms has offered modern rustic cottages as an accom- modation option for some time but needed a way to incorporate more lodging opportunities for guests. The answer? The Inn at Pursell Farms opened this past March, doubling the amount of on-site rooms with the three-story inn and its 40 beautifully-ap- pointed rooms complete with amazing views. Guests can look out over the golf course, pool and sundeck, or expansive green pas- tureland. The guestrooms are reflective of the farm’s Southern heritage with traditional designs and expert craftsmanship. Warm colors, antiques, marble and stone all blend together for the perfect upscale look that resonates with luxury destinations wrapping each guest in true Southern hospitality. Arrington is the more elegant of the two restaurants within The Inn, serving breakfast and dinner with chef-driven, farm-inspired seasonal dishes utilizing locally-sourced ingredients, grass-fedmeats and home-grown herbs.
